Wicked!

Jeanette Weaver treated all of her daughters to Wicked in L.A. in February. Okay, so it was awhile ago, but it was so much fun, so I had to share. Here we are eating at the Cheesecake Factory. Yummy! I loved Tami's suggestion the best: Tuxedo Cheesecake.

Along Hollywood Blvd. we checked some of the great shops. Look at these fine babes!

Pantages Theater. The show starts in about twenty minutes!!

Amy Weaver and me--breaking the rules of no photography in the theater. Woops.

Who booked the flight home the next morning at 5:30 A.M.?
Who looks the sleepiest?

Thanks, Jeanette for the wonderful experience! Unforgettable!

Pumpkin Potatoes and Pork Ribs

Dirk is definitely a "waste not want not"kind of guy. He took a slab from one of our garden pumpkins and experimented with a crock pot recipe. The result was surprisingly yummy:

2 cups cubed raw pumpkin
4 small potatoes, cubed
1 pound pork ribs (plus drippings from the fried ribs the night previous)
1 tsp whole pepper corn
1 tsp garlic pepper
1 tsp red chili pepper

Crock it on high for 5 hours (low for longer)

Collect drippings for gravy; blend potatoes and pumpkin together; ribs on the side-yum.

Halloweensters

To the blog beginning: Happy Halloween! This year Grandma Weaver gave of her time and talents and created the best costumes ever!

Here is our cute little pumpkin, Kamryn on Halloween. She is cutting her first tooth and has come up with some funny expressions.

Cloaked and ready for candy.
