Here's to a new year of only blogging once every 8 months. yes! which
means that I must be getting lots of other really important things
done. facebooking, for example...AND other good things...
Highlights from 2012 at a backwards glance:
Performed with the BSU institute orchestra for annual choir Christmas
concert. So fun!
Smells and I got to play flute/violin duet.
Felt old watching my oldest turn 16.
Celebrated with the rest of Boise as the temple finally opened. Watched Jonah perform at youth cultural celebration with 9,000+ other youth.
Taught rythm and respect to the woodwinds of Kuna HS
for the marching band season. Got to wear a badge and a nifty staff shirt for the performances. Cheered as The Kuna Gold placed 2nd at the
district comp and was asked to perform pregame show at Potato Bowl at
BSU. good times.

Hosted lovely German exchange student for 3 weeks. She was thrown into the Mormon Idaho culture by attending Grandma Walker's funeral. Family, food, hugs and beautiful music. She loved the mall, the price of hoodies and jeans and pink lemonade. Wish she could have stayed much longer.
Cried a little as my baby started Kindergarten.
Smiled every time we got to hang with Aunt Marilyn and her family that
now live in BOISE!!!
Floated the river, played gatorball, gathered for
food and fun. Family makes the memories that much better.
So glad Rob and Mel and Marilyn live here!!!!
Experienced a true white trash moment sleeping on the lawn outside a
tennis court. First hung out with cousin Aubrey in Seattle for the
day--pedis, fresh clam chowder, girl talk. Then drove to Portland to
pick up Dirk and his buddy from their bike race (STP). As designated
shuttle driver, had to sing "Call me Maybe" at the top of my lungs
trying to stay awake from 12:00 A.M. to 4:00 A.M. After crashing in
Umatilla, only got 2 hours of sleep before the sprinklers blasted the
tent. on the grass. by the chain link fence. of the tennis court. which
was across the street from Dirk's buddie's uncle. and his four trucks.
yep.
Hung with 100+ relatives at a cabin/resort in
Utah for Grandma's last reunion. Played lots of volleyball, basketball,
rook, had my nose hairs waxed. So fun. love my family. Then felt old
again attending my 20 year reunion in Idaho Falls.
Stole away with my hubby to Hailey for 3 days for his 40th birthday.
yikes, 40. Mountain biking, relaxing and then more relaxing.
Shared in the joy of best friend Hollie as her daughter was sealed to
her family. And enjoyed mom's 60th party which brings us up to last
blog. oh boy.
It was a great year feeling blessed at every turn. Here's to a new one!!!
