Ate it Up!!

Oh yes we did!

Briana and I, two hours early for the 10:30 P.M. show--only eight people in line ahead of us. Phase 10 to pass the time.

97% women. A few brave husbands/boyfriends. Lots of disappointed faces an hour later when they saw the line snaking a long ways down the hall, around the corner, past the bathrooms and further. Can you just see the Edward adrenaline surging through the air? A-hem...yes, Edward, not Jacob.

Saving seats...

for Jen, her mom, sisters and friend.

Movie over at 1:10 A.M. We sat there basking in emotional overload euphoria; analyzing, sighing, recapping, sighing some more. Until the theater guy came to collect trash. Rode home with a smile on my face that stayed there until 3:00 until I finally managed to fall asleep. Ate it up and licked my lips too!

Didn't. It was the 10:30 show--with lots of previews.

So, was the movie or book better?? Glad you liked it but mostly glad it got you out of the house for a girls' night out.

It was good, I saw it yesterday morning and I have been trying to avoid your blog so nothing would be spoiled before I got my chance. Glad you enjoyed it too! You are a little obsessed you have to admit.:)

I must confess that although I enjoyed it, I can't say I loved it. I think they did a really really good job of adapting the story for movie format, but I did NOT like the editing style. Jumping around from so many different camera angles for every single shot... Can't they just focus on the scene and hold still for 30 seconds?

That said, I'm probably still going to buy it when it comes out on dvd.

I did not think the movie was going to be as good as it was. The previews made it seem too "actiony". I loved it and Mel as far as the book or movie being better. If you don't want to wade through a 600+ page book that's very descriptive and wordy, then the movie does a pretty good job of telling the story. I'm so glad they took the time to build the romance between Edward and Bella, I was getting hot flashes. :)

And Kristy. Our theater does reserved seating so we walked right in 5 minutes before it started.

wow: you are a real trooped Kristy. i did not opt for the midnight showing...i just knew that i would barely make it through and not enjoy it...although, i'm wondering if there was any less squealing and yallings and swooning from the pre-teen/teen audience? that was CRAZY!
i felt like i was stuck in the middle of a hannah montana or jonas bro's concert (and not that i've ever been to either, but i imagine that they are something liek waht i went through on friday night during the movie....)
i really enjoyed it myself.:)

Oh man Tami! You missed out on playing Phase 10 for an hour and a half!

I agree, Mel. The movie does justice to the book. But when has a movie ever been better than the book?

My heart was beating ALMOST as fast during the movie as when I read the book. So good!

"and licked my lips too."

hee hee.

we were planning on going in a couple of weeks but were at a ward activity on friday night and a bunch of my girlfriends and i were like, "what they heck.." so we went. got to the theater at 8:45, bought tix for the 10:20 show and sat in the front of the line playing uno. it was so much fun going when all the screaming girls were in the audience..made it more of an experience.

i am planning on going again though in two weeks. of course i want to see it again. ahem.

I can't wait for my family to come over here for Thanksgiving so I can go again. My sis Melanie hasn't seen it yet! I've heard the second time is more enjoyable than the first!
