Tuesday Trouble

I figured out the perfect conditions for chaos: Dad out of town for three days. Mom teaching for three hours. Older brothers (supposedly) watching their youngest sister. Youngest sister quite mobile and having proper function of fine motor skills. Fate determining that the numbers "911" be pressed in perfect sequence by toddler in possession of phone.
Total chaos was subverted when friend and piano mom, Paige, noticed guilty toddler handling the phone. When emergency response called the house, she got to explain the situation of mischief in my behalf. Thanks, Paige. I really didn't need a $50 fee for a moment of mother delinquency. Especially considering my wallet went missing for three days that week. I hope this Tuesday is not so troublesome.

Itchy-free tag day

Have you noticed that most shirts don't have tags on the back anymore? The size and some directions are printed in matching color on the inside of the shirt. I love it! Especially for baby clothes. No more itchy tags! Two problems: My boys are so hasty in dressing that they put the shirt on backwards. No itchy tag reminder. Second, hand-me-downs are the enemy. Poor Andrew (third in line for all things) has been spoiled by a few new (non-itchy) shirts from Grandma and feels extremely put-upon if he has to wear any shirts with the medievil tags. Even when the shirt is so worn that the tag is barely there he complains that it itches him. I guess he'll just have to wait a few years to catch up to the tagless hand-me-downs. This is the first day of school, BTW.
