Tuesday Trouble

I figured out the perfect conditions for chaos: Dad out of town for three days. Mom teaching for three hours. Older brothers (supposedly) watching their youngest sister. Youngest sister quite mobile and having proper function of fine motor skills. Fate determining that the numbers "911" be pressed in perfect sequence by toddler in possession of phone.
Total chaos was subverted when friend and piano mom, Paige, noticed guilty toddler handling the phone. When emergency response called the house, she got to explain the situation of mischief in my behalf. Thanks, Paige. I really didn't need a $50 fee for a moment of mother delinquency. Especially considering my wallet went missing for three days that week. I hope this Tuesday is not so troublesome.

$50 fine? Are you kidding me? I'm keeping the kiddos away from the phone, that is for sure. And obviously Kamryn is a genius to have hit 9-1-1 so perfectly.

Actually, I think she is jinxed. She dialed 911 when we were at my mom's house. She was only eight months old. Same thing happened. I saw her with the phone, turned it off. Then the dispatch called and I had to assure them that everything was fine, no one was hurt and that I was a bad mom for letting my baby play with the phone. They were nice and let me off with a warning. Friends have told me that if the police do show up on your doorstep, they will fine you. So, yes...keep the phone away from your kids. Especially my baby.

Yes...this was the day of adventures I must say! It's a good thing she sooooo screaming cute. I'm glad I was there to intercept the phone call. I don't think I would have been brave enough to open the door to; Sir Officer himself. Yikes! I'm so glad today was 10 times better for you...well, maybe 9 considering the squished roll discovered at the entry way along with cute baby eating happily. Sorry I wasn't watching for that one. :)
Love your family!

oh joy! that is a day for the memory books, eh? at least you didn't have the fire trucks come zooming down your street (though i think that your boys would have loved that part...)
and i never knew that the department would fine you on a accidental dial of their number! yikes!

Ha ha! Your house sounds like mine! I feel like I'm always explaining to people that I didn't actually call them but that it was my kids playing with my phone. Luckily it has never been 911!
