Lights, Kamryn, Action

Kamyrn turned three.
Where did my baby go?
sniff
Summer is underway.
I am 22 days late in posting about her birthday.
Yikes
For the benefit of Grandmas who weren't present,
here are lots of pics.
(dialogue included)

Mom: Hey Kam, why don't you let me get some pics of you by the flowers?
Kam: okay mom

Kam: It's kinda hot out here....how long is this going to last?

Mom: Just hold still and smile, okay?

Hey--isn't that our neighbor's cat on our fence?
Look at me. not the cat. please

Hey mom! Look what I can do with my pant string!
Kamryn, please put that down. how 'bout a smile?

This is bummin'

C'mon! Just look up for one tiny second okay? and smile.

how about you look up and smile and then we can go decorate your birthday cake

I am LOL about this cake.

I went with a more healthy version for frosting (yogurt cheese).

it was runny.

I was in mode to scrape it off and start over when two unscheduled piano students showed up. I guess i could have declared a state of cake emergency and sent them home, but the angel on my shoulder won out.

Ten minutes left to decorate the cake. A couple of swirls and fake flowers (no--not frosting) and I had to call it good. the girls were rootn' me on the whole time.

"Wow, Mom. That is so great. That's the most pretty cake ever!"

"When it's my birthday, will you make me a cake just like that one?"

to the birthday girl, it was perfect.

Happy Birthday to a happy kid!
she's a hoot--love her lots!

Hilarious dialogue with the pictures. My soon-to-be three year old would have found a way to escape. Kamryn is so cute.

And the cake, despite your frosting emergency, is just lovely and so very pretty for a three-year old.
